I am an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up, a former educator (but really, we're educators for life aren't we?), and a mother of 3 fun loving kids. Why stamp ink diva? Because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what you can do with some rubber stamps, ink, and paper. And diva...because its supposed to be the most talented. So I hope to share with you great work that will inspire you and develop a connection to other goddesses in this craft! Thanks for looking.

Its always fun to get together with other demonstrators and swap cards. You not only get great ideas but its a fun time to socialize and meet new friends. We were asked to bring a shoebox swap where you bring all the prepared materials to make your sample card and put it in a box the size of a shoebox. Because there were going to be 20 of us, I decided to keep it simple. Here is what I made with a little help from MOJO Monday.
1.Cut Kraft card stock to 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and fold in half to 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”.
2.Cut Crushed Curry DSP to 3” x 4” and center to the top of the card (about 1/2” from the top).
3.Cut Choc. Chip Patterns Designer Paper to 1-1/4” x 4-1/4” and layer onto the card, overlapping the Crushed Curry DSP a little and leaving about a 1/4” of Kraft paper to the left side.
4.Punch the 2”x 2-3/4” Kraft paper with the Modern Label Punch.
5.Stamp the bird cage stamp onto the 2-3/4” Very Vanilla Circle, layer onto the Chocolate Chip Scallop Circle, and adhere to bottom right corner of the card.
6.Ink the “hello” stamp with chocolate chip and stamp onto the 2” x 2-3/4” Very Vanilla CS. Punch out with the Modern Label punch with the verse aligned to the left hand side. Then, punch again with the word window punch to trim.
7.Layer the punched very vanilla card stock onto the punched kraft card stock. Adhere the verse behind the scallop circle to the card.
8.Tie the ribbon into a bow and adhere to card with glue dots.

It may say Boo but no boos for this banner! Its so colorful, sparkly, and accented with that gorgeous Black Striped ribbon that it'll be a winner for all that see! This was inspired by my dear friend, Ruth Bingle. But of course, changed up a bit for my Stamp Club members.
One of the fun things about this project was using a technique which is a take off the heat emboss and resist technique. The Bride Designer Paper has a shiny scroll print which will resist the ink that is applied to it much like an image that is embossed. Using the brayer, we rolled Basic Black ink onto the paper. Then with a tissue, wiped the excess ink off the scroll print and voila! It changes the whole look.
The center accents on each block is card stock cut to 1-1/2" x 12". Scored every 1/2" and folded like a fan. The ends are adhered to each other and layered onto the scalloped square block. (The trick is to flatten out the circle from the center out. Once you get the hang of doing one, it becomes much easier. Don't be afraid to squish it down flat.)
The scallop square block and letters were cut out using my favorite die-cutting machine the Big Shot. Spray a little adhesive over the letter or use the glue pen and sprinkle dazzling diamonds.
Last but not least, adhere the gorgeous ribbon and hang for decoration!

My downline and a couple of Stampin' Up! Fanatics (our loving customers and friends) have started to gather for card swaps and shoebox swaps. The following are samples from our Halloween Swap. Please note that some of the products are retired products and may no longer be available for purchase.
a verse in our wonderful Grateful Greetings stamp set but also the perfect intro for today's entry. As I prepare my children's costumes to go trick or treating, I made a few treats for their school mates and wanted to share with you. (This matchbook treat was inspired by Becky Robert's.) I didn't want to put too much on it because they are going to children and most likely, the first thing they'll do is rip it right open to get to the candy. BUT...it still has to be CUTE!
Cut basic black card stock to 2-3/4" x 8-1/2".
Score along the long side (8-1/2") at 1", 5", and 5-1/4".
Fold at the score lines.
Fold the 1" tab up and staple into place. (This will be the flap where you'll tuck the top cover into.)
Cut Cast-A-Spell Designer Series Paper to 2" x 2-3/4"
Layer onto the top of the front flap and close.
Cut Whisper White card stock to 3/4" x 2-3/4".
Using Old Olive Classic Ink, stamp the verse onto the Whisper White card stock and layer over the bottom front flap, covering the staple.
Punch a scallop circle of Elegant Eggplant.
Punch a 1-3/4" circle of Old Olive.
Using Basic Black classic ink, stamp the "boo" ghost image onto Whisper White card stock and punch out using the 1-1/4" circle.
Layer the ghost using stampin' dimensionals onto the Old Olive circle, then onto the Elegant Eggplant scallop circle.
Cut a small strip of Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, fold in half to make a "V", and tape to back of Elegant Eggplant scallop circle. Trim edges.
Adhere the entire piece onto the matchbook with stampin' dimensional.
*Don't forget the candy!*

Okay. I'm REALLY behind. But I just wanted to make sure you were well aware of the week of the deal for this week. And pray that I get back to regular posts! I really feel bad for my faithful readers. But I'll make it up to you all somehow...
So if you've wanted this or think you'll ever need it, here's the deal of the week:
Hi all!
I'm sorry I've been absent on this blog. I'm still adjusting to life here in Southern California. I've been trying to coordinate fundraisers for my children's school, which has taken the bulk of my time, and I've been trying to live a healthier life with more exercising! Who knew being a mom could be so tiring and so busy!
I've got a lot of pictures to download and share with you. So expect those in the next few days! I've got some great Holiday projects to share and a few more MOJO sketches.
In the meantime, don't forget to check the deal of the week section on my blog or my Stampin' UP! site (look under promotions). This week's special:
The second deals of the week are from October 12, 10 AM (MT) through October 19, 9:50 AM (MT).
